Amanda Knox

Tabloid TV generally displays a "guily when charged" mentality. For some reason, they made an exception in the murder of Meredith Kercher.

The cable screamers were convinced that Amanda Knox was a poor innocent girl railroaded without evidence.

One journalist who broke from the pack was Barbie Latza Nadeau of The Daily Beast. Unlike the cable pundits, she actually attended the trial in Italy.

Amanda Knox was not convicted of murdering Meredith Kercher because she did cartwheels in the police station or owned a vibrator, as her supporters suggest., Knox, 22, along with her 25-year-old former boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito, were found guilty by a jury in Perugia, Italy, based on hard forensic evidence, according to the sentencing judge’s 427-page reasoning, which was issued Thursday and obtained by The Daily Beast. The two judges and six jury members for the 11-month trial agreed with the prosecution’s case, calling it a “comprehensive and complete picture without gaps and inconsistencies.

And this:

[The jury] convicted her unanimously, the disagreement was only on whether or not to give her a life sentence. “A life sentence would have been a death penalty,” one juror said. “They were too young and there was no motivation for the murder.”

Still, they believed wholeheartedly that she was involved. They valued the forensic evidence that Amanda’s parents say does not exist. They wondered why Amanda’s DNA and Meredith’s blood was wiped away and recovered with Luminol. They thought it was Raffaele’s bloody footprint on the bathroom rug and his DNA on Meredith’s bra clasp. They believed the prosecutor’s testimony that Meredith’s DNA was on the blade of the knife that had Amanda’s DNA on the handle. They had the forensic evidence they needed to tie her to the murder, they said in off-the-record interviews after the hearing. They believed that if she did not kill her, she knew enough about who did to warrant the conviction. The inconsistencies in Knox’s story were too many. Her lack of corroborated alibi just too much to overlook. How Amanda explained these same things to her parents is a well-kept secret. “She says she wasn’t there,” her father claims. “We just know she wasn’t there
.”

There is no credible evidence linking Amanda Knox or Raffaele Sollecito to this crime. Meredith Kercher's death was an act of extreme violence. Evidence of this crime was quickly spread throughout the crime scene. There is no credible evidence that puts Amanda Knox or Raffaele Sollecito in the room at the time of the murder.

There is not one fingerprint, not one footprint, not one shoe print, not one hair, not one fiber, no sweat, no saliva, no blood, and no DNA of any kind that puts Amanda Knox or Raffaele Sollecito in the room at the time of the murder.

Why? The answer is very clear. There was no evidence putting Amanda Knox and Raffaele sollecito in the room at the time of the murder because they were NOT there.

Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito have been wrongly convicted. Please look past the distraction of the media frenzy. Please take the time and discover the truth today. Please visit: http://www.injusticeinperugia.org

Evidence that Amanda Knox was in Meredith’s room on the night of the murder:

1. The double DNA Knife not only places Amanda Knox in Meredith’s room, but also indicates that she inflicted the fatal wound.

2. The woman’s bloody shoeprint on the pillow under Meredith’s body matched Amanda Knox’s foot size, but was incompatible with Meredith’s foot size. This debunks the myth that Rudy Guede acted alone and clearly places Amanda Knox inside Meredith’s room when Meredith was killed. The judges and the jury attributed this bloody shoeprint to Amanda Knox.

3. According to Dr. Stefanoni and Raffaele Sollecito’s forensic expert, Professor Vinci, Amanda Knox’s DNA was on Meredith’s bra.

Apparently, Vincenzo Pascali, Sollecito’s chief forensic consultant, also found Knox’s DNA on Meredith’s bra.

4. Amanda Knox’s reading lamp was found in Meredith’s room. This is further evidence that Amanda Knox was in Meredith’s room on the night of the murder.

5. Amanda Knox’s footprints were set in Meredith’s blood in different parts of the cottage, which clearly indicates that she had stepped in Meredith’s blood in Meredith’s room and then tracked the blood around the house.

6. Amanda Knox’s DNA was mixed with Meredith’s blood in the bathroom, which clearly indicates that her hands had come into contact with Meredith’s blood in Meredith’s room and that she touched different fittings and the box of Q Tips cotton swabs in the bathroom.

7. Amanda Knox voluntarily admitted that she was involved in Meredith’s murder in her handwritten note to the police on 6 November 2007. She even asked for a pen and paper to write this confession. Rudy Guede corroborates Knox’s confession that she was involved in Meredith’s murder.

Evidence that Raffaele Sollecito was in Meredith’s room on the night of the murder:

1. An abundant amount of Raffaele Sollecito’s DNA was found on Meredith’s bra clasp.

2. Raffaele Sollecito’s footprints were set in Meredith’s blood in different parts of the cottage. One of them was revealed by luminol in the hallway, and the other one was easily visible to the naked eye on the blue bathmat in Meredith’s and Knox’s shared bathroom. This evidence clearly indicates that he had stepped in Meredith’s blood in Meredith’s room and then tracked the blood around the house.

3. Rudy Guede and Amanda Knox have both claimed that Raffaele Sollecito was at the cottage when Meredith was killed. Guede claims that Sollecito and Knox killed Meredith.

Oh Brother- Harry Rag again. This guy is the biggist mis-information junkie on the net. Knox's dna was not on Meredith's bra. There was no evidence showing Knox was in the room where Meredith was killed. As far as Barbie Nadeau goes- I never cared for her reporting on the case and seems to have a thing against Knox and gets her facts wrong at times but never retracts her comments.
Amanda and Raff were never there and that will come out eventually. Why some people get so much pleasure out of seeing innocent people get the shaft beyond me.

If you think Amanda Knox is guilty, then why? Because you heard someone say so? Because you accepted without questioning some myth about a cartwheel or accusing an innocent man? (Not true.) If the information you heard is wrong, then so is your conclusion. If she was your daughter/sister/friend, wouldn’t you want people to listen to both sides of the story before deciding?

Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito repeatedly told the police a pack of lies in the days after Meredith's murder.

On 5 November 2007, Knox and Sollecito were confronted with proof that they had lied and were given another opportunity to tell the truth. However, they both chose to tell the police even more lies.

Sollecito's new alibi was shattered by computer forensic evidence and his mobile phone records.

Knox accused an innocent man, Diya Lumumba, of murdering Meredith despite knowing full well that he was completely innocent. She didn't recant her false and malicious allegation against Lumumba the whole time he was in prison.

Knox's account of what happened on 2 November 2007 is contradicted by her mobile phone records.

Rudy Guede's bloody footprints lead straight out of Meredith's room and out of the house. He didn't lock Meredith's door, remove his trainers, go into Filomena's room or the bathroom that Meredith and Knox shared.

Rudy Guede didn't scale the vertical wall outside Filomena's room or gain access through the window. The break-in was clearly staged. This indicates that somebody who lived at the cottage was trying to deflect attention away from themselves and give the impression that a stranger had broken in and killed Meredith.

Guede had no reason to stage the break-in and there was no physical evidence that he went into Filomena's room.

The scientific police found a mixture of Amanda Knox's DNA and Meredith's blood on the floor.

There was no physical evidence that Rudy Guede went into the blood-spattered bathroom. However, the scientific police found proof that Knox and Sollecito tracked Meredith's blood into this bathroom.

Amanda Knox’s DNA was found mingled with Meredith’s blood in three different places in the bathroom: on the ledge of the basin, on the bidet, and on a box of Q Tips cotton swabs.

Sollecito left a visible bloody footprint on the blue bathmat.

Amanda Knox left a bloody shoeprint on the pillow under Meredith's body.

Knox's and Sollecito's bare bloody footprints were revealed by luminol in the hallway. Knox’s DNA and Meredith’s DNA was found mixed together in one of the bloody footprints.

An abundant amount of Raffaele Sollecito's DNA was found on Meredith's bra clasp. Sollecito must have applied considerable pressure to the clasp in order to have left so much DNA. The hooks on the clasp were damaged which confirms that Sollecito had gripped them tightly.

Amanda Knox's DNA was found on the handle of the double DNA knife and Meredith's DNA was found lodged in a tiny groove on the blade. Sollecito knew that Meredith's DNA was on the blade which is why he twice lied about accidentally pricking her hand whilst cooking.

The defence experts were unable to prove that there had been any contamination. Alberto Intini, head of the Italian police forensic science unit, pointed out that unless contamination has been proved, it does not exist.

Amanda Knox voluntarily admitted that she involved in Meredith's murder in her handwritten note to the police on 6 November 2007. She stated on at least four separate occasions that she was at the cottage when Meredith was killed. She also claimed that Sollecito was at the cottage.

i actually agree with you Harry Rag although it wasn't necessarily based on your evidence. I another finely detailed blog on the inconsistencies about amanda knox's alibis. Apparently there was some forensic evidence but the defense has slandered the evidence citing 'contamination'. I am sure that the police didn't properly conduct the investigation into poor Meredeith's murder. However, i still maintain that botched investigation or not, the case was strong enough to convict Amanda and her co-conspirators.

Some circumstancial evidence/ forensic evidence includes that the day after the murder, both Rafaele and Knox called the police/firemen into their home and demanded that the police break down the door into Meredieth's room. They 'thought' something was wrong with her because she did not answer the door. This is according to the '911' transcipts. This is how Meredeith's dead body was found.

There is also no sign of forced entry into the house. There are signs that a futile attempt to make the crime scene appeared broken into had occured( a window was broken from the inside). Why would a stranger pretend to make it seem like someone broke in? Obviously, the killers were either in the home already or someone living in the home let the killers in.
Meredeith was raped and then killed. Even though Rudy Geude admitted to raping her, Merdeith extensively fought back her attacker. I would imagine that it must be hard for one attacker to hold down a struggling woman and simultaneously raped her. Meredieth showed no sign of a concussion or condition were she was subdued that would allow one perpetrator-Rudy Geude_ alone to rape and kill her. Evidence concludes she was held down by another person while she was raped, and she was raped and then killed( accroding to that website).

Also why was she killed? There was no robbery, and even though she was raped, there are numerous rapes where the poor victims are left alive even though they can identify the perpatrators. I think that the reason why she was killed was because she knew the perpatrators well enough that under no context could she be left to live. That also would explain why the crime scene was so brutal- that would be the only way of certain death( so Meredith could never live to identify them).

Again some of my speculations could apply to other people perhaps. But taken together with the flip flopping on alibis, other forensic and circumstancial evidence, the reasonable doubt created by the situation explains why Knox and Raffaele are convicted. Now ppl can say oh the italian police effed up, but likely Knox and Raffaele were involved.

Even those who believe that Ms. Knox is guilty should be concerned about the fairness of her trial with respect to discovery. The prosecution failed to turn over electronic data files of the DNA evidence to the defense, a shameful abuse:

If there was DNA found in Meredith's room from Amanda Knox it is natural for it to be there considering they are friends. Some people are so stupid.A written confession by a scared anyone is the least evidence I would count on when convicting someone of murder.I could say I was there and killed her, is this enough to convict me of her murder? No!This trial was set up to sell lies to close this case.If this was a trial in the States or on neutral territory I am positive that Amanda would be home by now and the real murderer will still be on the loose or the Italian idiots would be convicting some other poor soul to fancy their banking account rather their true care for justice. Anyone that believes this witch hunt conviction is just as much an idiot as the people that put Amanda in jail.

Harry Rag, two impartial investigators with years and years of experience in murder investigations have now looked at the so-called "evidence" that Amanda and her bf Raffaelo were involved in the murder of Meredith Kercher. Both of them, independent of each other, have concluded there is NO evidence, none, zero, nada that points to either one of them having had anything to do with it. And yet, you continue to mount a shameful campaign to villify both of them. Why? What is your agenda? To embue yourself with some sort of importance? To show Americans in general that we should all be flogged, that because she is somewhat wholesome and attractive, she must automatically be guilty, especially if Harry is in fact female and jealous of someone who happened to be born with less than hideous looks? If the latter is the case, rest assured, your hatred will one day marr your face and you will be seen for the monster that YOU are.

If anybody wants to understand the reasons why Amanda Knox was convicted of murder, I recommend reading the translations of the official court documents and court testimony. They are available online at the Meredith Kercher Wiki website:
